Q: Who is sbs-villas.co.uk?
A: We are a
British company, based in both Manchester and Paphos, Cyprus, specialising in
renting quality villas in Cyprus to holiday makers, through the Internet.
All of our villas and services are illustrated on this Internet website.
This site provides a cost effective way of allowing guests to book
directly and stay in quality, individual villas, at lower prices than if
they were booking through a travel agent or tour operator.
Q: How do I book a villa?
A: In 3 easy
steps:
1. You check the villa/s availability by completing the on-line Villa
Enquiry Form. Once received, we confirm availability within 24 hours.
2. You then have to complete the on-line Booking Form and make your Payment.
Once we have received the on-line Booking Form we re-check the
availability and once payment has been received we send you by email the
formal Reservation Confirmation. Please note that the booking is not
guaranteed until we have issued our formal Reservation Confirmation.
3. If you are making your booking more than 2 months before the start
of the villa booking date, then only a 30% deposit is required. You will
then need to send us the balance of the payment 2 months before
commencement of the booking. Once received, we will send you your final
booking confirmation together with Villa Directions and Villa Guide.
Q: How is payment made?
A: Payment
can be made by cheque, cash at any branch of HSBC, or by bank
transfer.
Q: Are the rates per person or for the entire villa?
A: Our rates are for the entire villa on a weekly
basis despite the number of people.
Q: Are the prices in
Cyprus Pounds or Sterling?
A: All prices quoted are in
Cyprus Pounds.
Q:
What is the minimum length of stay?
A: Normally a minimum
7-night stay is required. Some villas may accept shorter stays (3 nights),
especially if it is close to your departure date or during the low season.
In peak season, a premium may be required.
Q: Are villas cheaper than a hotel?
A: As you explore the villas in
Paphos Cyprus we believe you'll see
that many villas are often much cheaper than prices of hotels of the same
quality standard. Villa rentals offer more privacy, more comfort, and more
freedom than hotel rooms. Your villa also comes with a fully equipped
kitchen, making a Cyprus vacation rental an economical choice. When two or
more people are travelling, a rental is usually considerably less
expensive than staying in hotel rooms and eating all of your meals out.
When you factor in all the benefits and amenities of a private villa,
you'll quickly realize that villas offer superb value.
Q: What
is your deposit and cancellation policy?
A: For all of our
villas, the following standard practices apply: A 30% deposit is required
to hold a reservation. Reservations are not considered firm until the
deposit, in cleared funds is received and our reservation confirmation has
been issued. The balance of your payment is due 2 months prior to your
arrival date. In the event of you cancelling the booking, no refund is
made. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out Travel
Insurance.
Q: Do mobile phones work in
Cyprus?
A: Generally most GSM network mobile phones do work
in Cyprus.
Q: Is Travel Insurance
Required?
A: Yes, it is strongly recommended that you
arrange comprehensive travel insurance to include accommodation
cancellation.
Q: Are Visas
Required?
A: Visas are not required for EC passport holders
although a full passport valid for at least 3 months from your date of
return is required. If you do not hold an EC Passport then you should
better check
whether a visa is required in your case.
Q:
Are Vaccinations Required?
A: No inoculations or
vaccinations are compulsory for UK residents, but the DHSS does recommend
certain health precautions for travellers.
Q: What are the check in and check out
times?
A: Access to villas and village houses will be after
2pm to allow for cleaning and have to be vacated by 11am on day of
departure unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
Q: Do the villas with satellite TV, have English
channels?
A: Most satellite systems in Cyprus have over 80 channels however
these are mainly a mixture of Greek and European channels. Usually there
are just a few English channel like CNN News, Euro News, BBC.
Q: Is a car required?
A:
Guests can reserve a car if they want to but it is not compulsory as the
villas are 5 minutes from town.
Q: Are your villa Star Ratings similar to those
given to hotels?
Our Star Ratings are based on the
quality and facilities of the villa, location, privacy and
views. They are purely to give a guide to compare with our other villas
and are not the same grading as used by hotels.
Q: What if I want to give you some
feedback?

Q: Do the villas have telephones or internet
access?
None of our villas have the use of a telephone for telephone calls
or internet access. To
make telephone calls you can use local phone boxes or use your own
mobile phone or purchase a pay as-you-go, card.
Q: Are towels and linen
provided?
Towels and bed linen are provided at all of our properties
but we
advise that you bring your own towels for pool/beach use as these are not
provided. The villas towels are only for use inside the property and are
not to be used outdoors, on the sun beds, or at the beach. Towels and
linen are usually changed at the end of 7 days unless otherwise
stated.
Q: What is the electricity
voltage?
The voltage is the same as in the UK - 240
volts, with 3-pin plug sockets.
Q: How often
is the villa cleaned?
All of our properties are cleaned before arrival and then again after 7 days. |
